The Engineering Leader will head the Materialized Views engineering team at Databricks, focusing on developing next-generation Materialized View features for ETL workloads and query acceleration. This role involves leading a team responsible for building high-quality infrastructure services and ensuring alignment with product vision and organizational goals. The leader will also oversee talent recruitment and upskilling within the team. This position is crucial for enhancing the capabilities of the Databricks Lakeflow platform.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing top-tier engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience building data infrastructure systems such as Apache Spark or database internals.
• A passion for database systems, storage systems, distributed systems, or performance optimization.
• Experience working with product management and directly with customers to understand their needs.
• Expertise in attracting, hiring, and coaching engineers to meet Databricks hiring standards.
