As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure teams at Databricks, you will focus on building scalable systems that power the Databricks platform for Big Data and AI workloads. You will work on multi-cloud systems and services, managing thousands of Kubernetes clusters, and developing infrastructure components. The role emphasizes improving software development workflows and ensuring high-quality engineering processes. You will leverage Databricks' own data and AI platform to analyze and enhance build and test metrics.

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in Java, Scala, Go, C++, or Python
• Passion for building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure
• Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with cloud APIs such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or advanced private clouds
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform

• Build and extend components of the core Databricks infrastructure
• Architect multi-cloud systems and abstractions for the Databricks product
• Improve software development workflows for engineering and operational efficiency
• Analyze build and test logs and metrics using Databricks' data and AI platform
• Develop automated build, test, and release infrastructures
• Set and uphold standards for engineering processes to support high-quality engineering
