Job description
KLA is seeking a motivated AI Engineer to join the Reticle And Photomask Inspection Division (RAPID). This role focuses on designing and developing deep learning models integrated with classical methods to enhance KLA's inspection platforms. The team is dedicated to innovation in semiconductor manufacturing, ensuring high-quality production through advanced inspection solutions. Candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support model deployments at customer sites.
Requirements
- PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- Significant experience in deep learning for computer vision and image understanding.
- Knowledge in physics-based modeling or signal processing.
- Proficiency with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and Python.
- Experience in C++ production software development and object-oriented programming.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy deep learning models for image understanding tasks such as image translation, segmentation, anomaly detection, and defect analysis.
- Abstract specific tasks into generalized mathematical problems and devise customized models and algorithmic solutions.
- Curate and manage datasets; establish rigorous training, validation, and evaluation pipelines.
- Drive innovation by proposing novel approaches and delivering production-quality, maintainable code.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and balance model sophistication against computational complexity through comprehensive data analysis.
- Collaborate directly with other teams to co-optimize algorithms along with other sub-systems for best overall system design.
- Work with field teams and customers to support model deployments and ensure seamless integration of AI solutions to inspection systems.
Benefits
- Employees at KLA are often offered competitive pay with bonuses, a 401(k) match, an employee stock purchase program, and financial perks like student-debt assistance, planning support, and group insurance discounts. Health and lifestyle benefits typically include medical/dental/vision, life and other voluntary coverages, paid time off and holidays, family leave, backup care, wellness rewards, gym discounts, and community-volunteering opportunities. Employees also get strong growth support through tuition reimbursement, KLA’s corporate learning center, education awards, and engineering certification programs.
