This role involves defining the architecture for innovative natural language reporting experiences within Amazon Ads. The Measurement and Data Science Reporting Experience team is focused on transforming how advertisers interpret and act on campaign performance. The position requires navigating complex challenges to create scalable and user-friendly systems. The individual will also establish partnerships across teams to enhance the overall technical direction and operational excellence.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Own the technical vision and architecture for natural language reporting experiences serving advertisers.
• Lead the design and delivery of AI-native software in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Establish and drive technical partnerships with dependencies to ensure cohesive experiences.
• Decompose large-scale initiatives into parallel workstreams for incremental delivery.
• Identify architecture deficiencies and propose solutions, including rearchitecting existing systems.
• Define and drive engineering best practices and operational excellence across teams.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews to strengthen team capabilities.
