As a Software Development Engineer II at Esri, you will focus on CI/CD and platform automation to enhance software delivery across enterprise environments. This role combines software engineering with DevOps principles, making it ideal for those passionate about automation and system reliability. You will work on building and maintaining high-speed CI/CD pipelines and optimizing Docker environments. The position also involves collaborating with teams to improve developer productivity in complex environments.

• 2+ years of professional DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar.
• Experience working with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions.
• Exposure to automation and scripting, preferably in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworks.
• Ability to write and optimize Docker files and support container-based deployments.
• Understanding of artifact management, dependency management, and secure build practices.
• Familiarity with SBOM tools and artifact signing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, especially AWS and/or Azure.
• US citizenship with Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, DevOps, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.

• Design, implement, and maintain high-speed CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Architect and optimize Docker environments for consistent build/test runners.
• Lead the design of the next-generation Python package creation process and manage complex Conda recipes.
• Build and manage the underlying build infrastructure using automated provisioning.
• Implement automated security gatekeeping, including SBOM generation and vulnerability scanning.
• Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track build performance.
• Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks by transitioning legacy workflows into modern processes.
• Oversee the lifecycle of third-party dependencies to ensure a secure supply chain.
