As a Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team at Databricks, you will shape the future of the big data landscape by collaborating with customers and product teams. You will provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems. This role involves consulting on Big Data architectures and implementing proof of concepts for strategic projects. You will also become an expert in Databricks inspired open-source projects and support your fellow Solutions Architects.

• 5+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role
• Experience building distributed data systems
• Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Expertise in Data Engineering or Data Science and Machine Learning technologies
• Available to travel to customers in your region
• Desired degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science or Applied Mathematics
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership for customers
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support each other and users
• Guide customers through the competitive landscape and best practices
• Develop technical champions among customers
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks inspired open-source projects
