As a Software Engineer II at Amazon Robotics, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative sensor and compute technologies for robotic systems. This role focuses on enhancing the Amazon Fulfillment network through advanced sensor technology. You will be responsible for both independent project delivery and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming
• Experience with embedded Linux Kernel, device drivers and build
• Familiar with electronic schematics, board bring up and test equipment
• Experience with sensors, including camera, stereo camera, time-of-flight sensors, Radar, and Lidar

• Research emerging sensor technologies and evaluate potential applications in Amazon fulfillment network
• Partner with hardware, software, test and operations teams as well as third party suppliers to develop next generation sensors and computers
• Architect software design, define requirements, write system specification and create test plans
• Design and develop embedded software including device drivers and camera drivers
• Advise internal teams on sensor stack design and integration
• Aide product release to manufacturing and customer deployment
