The System Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer will develop complex satellite systems for government and international customers, focusing on integration and verification. This role is part of the Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering team, which aims to provide scalable solutions for satellite communication. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure systems meet customer expectations. The position requires a strong technical background in space systems design and a passion for innovative problem-solving.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• 5+ years of space vehicle, bus, RF payload, or optical payload integration and test or related industry experience
• 5+ years of experience developing space or communication system test requirements, plans, and procedures for system design verification and validation
• 4+ years of experience developing code in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, Rust on Linux platforms
• Experience with testing satellite communications payloads, optical communications payload, spacecraft bus and constituent subsystems
• Familiarity with integration and test of satellite communications, ground terminals, or DoD networks
• Proficiency with software development and hardware integration related to satellite payloads or ground systems
• Experience with satellite or terrestrial communications systems and antenna theory
• Experience in verification plan and test plan development related to established test standards (MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
• Computational problem solving and test automation/optimization in one or more of the following: Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, C/C++, Docker, Rust on a Linux platform
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

• Provide System Integration and Test leadership to the satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, custom ground terminals, or custom user terminals
• Specify and develop end-to-end payload or sub-system integration and test plans and procedures to validate performance against customer requirements
• Create test algorithms, test scripts, and calibration routines for lab and field evaluation of integrated satellites
• Analyze system and subsystem test data and engage cross-functionally to evaluate product performance and provide feedback
• Architect, design, and validate mechanical, optical, and electrical support equipment for test execution
• Prepare reports documenting test results, coverage, performance results, and communicate issues effectively
• Manage and track test anomalies, defects, and bugs, and make continuous improvements in a high-rate production environment
