The Solutions Architect (Lakebase) at Databricks is responsible for executing the strategic Product Operating Model to enhance product market fit and drive revenue growth. This role involves collaborating with account teams to engage clients and foster relationships, ensuring successful product adoption. The architect will leverage their extensive experience in transactional databases and big data ecosystems to influence product roadmaps and address complex technical challenges. They will also develop customer-facing materials to enhance technical knowledge and thought leadership.

• 10+ years of transactional database (OLTP) expertise across engineering, product development, administration, and pre-sales.
• Experience architecting solutions that integrate transactional data systems within broader Big Data, Lakehouse, and AI ecosystems.
• 6+ years in a customer-facing, pre-sales or consulting role influencing technical executives.
• Proficient in programming, debugging, and problem-solving using SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience building solutions within major public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or similar.

• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high-impact engagement strategies.
• Serve as an expert Solutions Architect and trusted advisor to drive product adoption.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops and developing customer-facing collateral.
• Influence product roadmap by translating field-derived, data-driven insights into strategic recommendations.
• Handle complex technical challenges by acting as the tier-3 escalation point for the field.
