As a Big Data Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will engage with clients to address their big data challenges using the Databricks platform. This role involves providing data engineering, data science, and cloud technology solutions while ensuring excellent customer service. You will work closely with engagement managers and the technical team to deliver impactful projects and support customers in their data journey. The position requires travel to client sites 20% of the time.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
• Proficiency in writing code in either Python or Scala.
• Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps.
• Experience in designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines.
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
• Databricks Certification.

• Work on a variety of impactful customer technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope professional services work with customer input.
• Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects and 3rd party migrations.
• Consult on architecture and design, and bootstrap or implement customer projects.
• Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
• Coordinate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to ensure technical components meet customer needs.
• Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
