As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will engage with customers to address their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires a blend of engineering expertise and business acumen to deliver impactful solutions. You will lead architecture and design decisions while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, focusing on customer empathy and measurable outcomes.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Experience with at least one major Cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing with Apache Spark™.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
• Experience in designing and deploying end-to-end data architectures and applications.
• Strong project delivery skills, managing scope, timelines, and outcomes.
• Excellent documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing stakeholder conflicts.
• Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification.

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems and custom applications.
• Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects.
• Provide architectural guidance and support for customer projects.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team and customer teams to meet engagement needs.
• Work with Engineering and Customer Support to resolve product and support issues.
• Engage with customer stakeholders to understand their challenges and deliver solutions.
