As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will work closely with customers to address their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires a blend of engineering expertise and business acumen to deliver impactful solutions. You will lead architecture and design decisions while ensuring that systems are secure and scalable. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, engaging with various stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Experience with at least one major Cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing with Apache Spark and its runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
• Experience in designing and deploying end-to-end data architectures and applications.
• Strong project delivery skills, including managing scope and timelines.
• Excellent documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing diverse stakeholder conflicts.
• Curiosity and eagerness to explore new technologies related to Databricks solutions.
• Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification.

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems.
• Design and build reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion.
• Guide customers in implementing transformational big data projects.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team and customer teams to meet engagement needs.
• Provide product and implementation feedback to Engineering and Customer Support.
• Engage with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
