As a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will work closely with customers to address their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires a blend of engineering expertise and business impact, focusing on delivering production-grade systems and guiding customers through transformational big data projects. You will lead architecture and design decisions while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for customer engagement.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks
• Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs
• Experience in designing and deploying performant production end-to-end data architectures and applications
• Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder range
• Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time
• Databricks Certification

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems and designing reference architectures.
• Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects, including end-to-end design and deployment.
• Provide architectural guidance and bootstrap customer projects to ensure successful adoption of Databricks.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to meet technical engagement needs.
• Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
• Engage with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across accounts.
