Job description
The Sr. Software Automation and Tools Development Engineer will join the GPU SWQA team at NVIDIA, focusing on automating test cases using AI technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as system architecture and PC I/O architecture. The successful candidate will drive test automation initiatives and contribute to the development of tools and frameworks to enhance testing workflows. This position is fully onsite and emphasizes collaboration with leadership and peers.
Requirements
- B.S / B.Tech/M.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics & Telecommunication with strong academics or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of programming experience in Python or equivalent with experience in applying Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Working experience with databases and storage technologies like SQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Good understanding of OS fundamentals and PC hardware fine-tuning in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
- Experience using AI tools to automate test cases and end-to-end QA workflows.
- Good communication skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated tests incorporating AI technologies for NVIDIA's device driver software and SDKs on Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Build tools, utilities, and frameworks in Python or equivalent to automate and optimize testing workflows in the GPU domain.
- Develop and implement automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify and report defects, and contribute to solutions.
- Measure code coverage for the software under test and drive code coverage enhancements.
- Develop applications and tools that accelerate development and test workflows, ensuring code is maintainable and reliable.
- Provide peer code reviews, including feedback on performance, scalability, and correctness.
- Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks to create realistic delivery schedules.
