As a Sr. Software Engineer for Customer Experience Intelligence at Databricks, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering an AI-native vertical workflow platform. This role involves building intelligent systems that integrate AI agents, humans, and enterprise tools into operational workflows. You will work on enhancing the platform's capabilities across various domains, including Customer Support, IT, and Security. The position emphasizes engineering reliability, complex workflow orchestration, and cross-functional collaboration.

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in large projects involving automation tooling, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Extensive full stack development experience.
• Proven success in designing and deploying production-grade automation in complex technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with ML-assisted systems, decision support, or agentic automation.
• Deep familiarity with distributed data platforms and large-scale infrastructure systems.
• Strong understanding of multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Contribute to the technical vision and backend architecture for Databricks’ Enterprise Agentic Framework.
• Build a modular, multi-tenant agent platform optimized for Customer Support and other domains.
• Drive rapid backend development while maintaining quality, safety, and reliability standards.
• Design workflows that transition from human validation to fully automated execution.
• Implement robust backend tracing, logging, and rollback mechanisms for AI-driven decisions.
• Act as a technical liaison between CXI, Product, Platform Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Set high engineering standards for backend code quality and system performance.
• Mentor engineers and subject matter experts across various teams.
