The role is for an experienced pre-sales professional focused on helping large enterprises in the Retail and CPG sectors become more data-driven. You will collaborate with Account Executives to define and direct the technical strategy for key accounts, promoting the adoption of Databricks' products and solutions. The position requires a strong technical background in big data and cloud technologies, as well as experience in value selling and technical account management. You will also mentor team members and build a network of technical champions within client accounts.

• 8+ years of experience working with very large enterprises in the Retail and CPG-related space.
• 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activity.
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
• Proven ability in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data.
• 4+ years of design and implementation experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

• Act as the main technical voice for 1-5 clients.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in the account with a close understanding of the overall strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members.
