The role is for experienced pre-sales professionals focused on helping large enterprises in the Retail and CPG sectors become more data-driven. Working closely with Account Executives, the Senior Solutions Architect will define and direct the technical strategy for key accounts, promoting the adoption of Databricks' products and solutions. The position requires a strong technical background in big data and data science, as well as the ability to mentor team members. The goal is to lead clients on a transformational journey towards integrating Databricks into their strategies.

• 8+ years of experience working with very large accounts in the Retail and CPG space.
• 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activities.
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
• Proven ability in data-driven business transformation.
• 4+ years of design and implementation experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

• Act as the main technical voice for Databricks for 1-5 clients.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in the account with a clear understanding of the overall strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members.
