Job description
The Software Engineer for Search Platforms, GenAI Content at Google will focus on developing advanced technologies to enhance content understanding and AI-generated content frameworks. This role is part of the Content and GenAI Exploration team, which aims to improve the Central Search Content Platform and explore new AI experiences. The engineer will work on critical projects that impact billions of users globally, leveraging state-of-the-art AI technology. The position requires versatility and leadership qualities to tackle complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures and algorithms.
- 8 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products, and 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 8 years of experience with ML/AI algorithms and tools, deep learning or other AI/ML modeling.
- 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure.
- 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or with GenAI-related concepts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy GenAI technology to empower content understanding and AI-generated content framework.
- Conduct applied research on new GenAI techniques to explore new content experiences and directions.
- Contribute to content tech areas evolvements including multimodality content understanding and agentic AI content generation.
- Be responsible for holistic content modeling and supporting infrastructure that yields content understanding across different content types.
- Enable downstream content applications with AI exploration capabilities and move the corresponding product metrics.
