Job description
The Software Engineer III, Generative AI, Core role at Google focuses on developing next-generation technologies that enhance user interaction and information handling. The Core team is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products, advocating for design elements and infrastructure. Engineers in this role will work on critical projects, with opportunities to switch teams as the business evolves. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- Experience in Generative AI, including large language models and multi-modal systems.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience programming in Python is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues.
