The Partner Engineer at Databricks will lead the technical relationship with strategic AI partnerships, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini. This role involves owning the joint roadmap with partner product teams and driving the development of integrations between platforms. The Partner Engineer will collaborate with partners to create proof of concepts and reference architectures, ensuring alignment with customer needs. This high-impact position requires close collaboration with various internal teams and direct engagement with company executives.

• 10+ years in field engineering, consulting, platform architecture, or AI systems development.
• Depth in how AI systems are built and run in production.
• Hands-on engineering skills, including experience with Python and REST APIs.
• Established relationships within major AI labs and cloud providers.
• Experience in strategic technical partnerships and leading architectural discussions.
• Deep knowledge of the Databricks platform and AI architecture design.
• Strong communication and influence skills.
• Availability to travel globally as required.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact across the AI labs.
• Shape the joint product roadmap by translating partner capabilities into platform requirements.
• Navigate complex relationships to align on joint product offerings.
