The Senior Research Scientist for Parenteral Drug Products at Elanco focuses on the formulation development of animal health products, particularly parenteral dosage forms. This role involves managing the entire drug product development life cycle and collaborating with internal and external partners. The scientist will apply their expertise to complex formulation tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The position emphasizes innovation and the application of Quality by Design principles throughout the development process.

• PhD in pharmaceutical science with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in formulation development of parenteral dosage forms and process scale-up.
• Proven track record of projects involving technologies such as lyophilization, sterile filtration, and aseptic filling.
• Strong understanding of GMP and industry/global regulatory guidelines related to sterile product manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively within and across R&D teams and external collaborators.

• Plan, execute, and coordinate daily and weekly work schedules in the formulation lab.
• Design and review scientific protocols and procedures for aseptic processing and sterile manufacturing.
• Perform data analysis and present results at team and project meetings.
• Troubleshoot issues related to parenteral formulation stability and manufacturing processes.
• Write reports and prepare SOPs and registration documents.
• Evaluate new scientific technologies and procedures in parenteral drug delivery.
• Collaborate with associates and scientists to facilitate knowledge exchange and train peers.
• Maintain laboratory infrastructure and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Oversee the work of external partners and evaluate results.
