Job description
As a software engineer with a backend focus at Databricks, you will collaborate with your team and product management to design, implement, and operate micro-services for the Databricks platform. You will work on building data pipelines and integrating with third-party applications while ensuring the resilience and security of the software. The role involves utilizing technologies such as Scala, Java, Apache Spark, and cloud APIs. You will have the opportunity to join various teams that focus on machine learning infrastructure, resource management, data storage, and observability.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of production level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language
- Experience in architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large scale distributed systems
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Work closely with your team and product management to prioritize and design micro-services
- Implement and test software solutions in Scala or Java
- Build data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Kafka
- Integrate with third-party applications and interact with cloud APIs
