Job description
The role at Databricks focuses on enhancing the security of their data analytics and machine learning platform. The Trust & Safety team is seeking a senior leader to define the vision and strategy for security engineering. This position involves identifying vulnerabilities in infrastructure and services while representing the security discipline across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data security and large-scale distributed systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas with expertise in Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, and more.
- 10+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Make Databricks safer for customers by identifying and addressing key gaps in infrastructure and services.
- Attract top talent from across the industry to enhance the security team.
- Represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization.
- Engage with academic and industry conferences and events to promote Databricks.
