GEICO is seeking a hands-on data/software engineer to join its Independent Agent organization, which operates a messaging automation platform for customer communications. The role focuses on building instrumentation and event pipelines to enhance CRM and marketing automation capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure data availability and reliability for campaign and journey triggers. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on customer engagement and operational efficiency.

• 7+ years of experience building data tools and pipelines in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
• 7+ years of experience working in SQL against enterprise data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks.
• 5+ years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines from files, databases, and APIs.
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Build instrumentation and event pipelines that generate audience and trigger data for CRM and marketing automation platforms.
• Develop batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines connecting campaign, CRM, and customer data across multiple sources.
• Create REST API integrations between internal data systems and CRM/marketing automation platforms.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring to maintain the reliability of campaign-critical pipelines.
