GEICO is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Reserving Team, which focuses on analyzing claims data and recommending reserves. This role involves collaborating with various departments to share insights and inform decision-making. Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Property & Casualty, including Pricing and/or Reserving experience preferred
- Experience with ResQ or other Reserving software is considered a plus
- Strong knowledge and utilization of software tools such as SQL, Excel, R, Python, VBA, PowerBI, etc.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to produce high quality, error-free work
Responsibilities
- Utilize ResQ and other tools to analyze claims data and develop actuarial projections.
- Make reasonable recommendations for reserves, utilizing data visualization to support recommendations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, enhance efficiency, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate across departments to share insights and inform decision-making.
- Present and communicate analyses to appropriate decision-makers and stakeholders.
