The Senior Engineer at GEICO is a crucial member of the engineering team, focused on delivering high-quality technology products and services in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes building scalable and resilient distributed systems while maintaining high standards of protection and availability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge, particularly in DevOps and System Engineering, to support the Billing ecosystem. The position also involves mentoring other engineers and sharing best practices across teams.

• 4+ years of professional DevOps experience
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Advanced experience in Hybrid cloud environments with Azure, AWS, or GCP and Linux based on-prem environment
• Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts including Azure DevOps framework and tools
• Cloud architect certifications are preferred

• Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems through cross-functional collaboration.
• Build highly reliable infrastructure and drive towards efficient and optimal solutions.
• Automate tasks, test infrastructure, and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Deliver high quality software and establish best practices and processes through code reviews and test automation.
