GEICO is seeking a Sr. Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the technical vision and architecture for its AI agent platform. This role focuses on enhancing productivity for internal associates and improving customer experiences through innovative AI solutions. The engineer will work on multi-tenant services, AI agent lifecycle management, and governance frameworks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers will be key aspects of this position.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with at least two programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, Go, or C#.
• 6+ years of experience designing and building AI/ML platforms using open-source or cloud-agnostic components.
• 5+ years of experience managing end-to-end software development life cycles.
• 4+ years of experience building training, fine-tuning, and inferencing systems for large language models.
• 3+ years of experience designing and operating multi-agent or agentic AI systems in production.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Architect an enterprise skill ecosystem and govern an internal skill marketplace.
• Lead the design of production-grade AI agent harnesses for reliable workflows.
• Own high-performance platform components that power end-to-end agentic workflows.
• Establish AI agent governance frameworks including bounded autonomy and audit trails.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Mentor engineers at all levels and elevate AI engineering best practices across the company.
