Job description

This role involves architecting and designing complex, scalable, and secure software solutions while setting the technical direction for major initiatives. The position requires driving innovation in test automation and software development strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. The candidate will provide technical leadership in the development and integration of APIs and cloud-based services, while also guiding the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and advising senior management on technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree in the same fields with relevant experience.
  • Five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer or closely related occupation, or three years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience developing software/test automation using Java, J2EE, Cucumber Serenity, or Selenium automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and building enterprise applications within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecture design teams.
  • Define and implement application-level architecture.
  • Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review and validate test plans.
  • Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plan and coordinate complex project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
