Job description
This position involves designing, integrating, and supporting highly-distributed systems and infrastructure to ensure stability and reliability across enterprise environments. The role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and databases to optimize performance and maintain production integrity. The candidate will also monitor production incidents and deploy code changes to enhance functionalities. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to advocate for system stability and supportability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer, or a Master's degree and three years of experience in the same role.
- Experience maintaining and providing technical support for cloud applications using Linux, Oracle, AWS, and Azure in a financial services or insurance domain.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing maintenance and production support for cloud applications and infrastructure using Datadog, Open Telemetry, Autosys, and Jenkins.
Responsibilities
- Provide production support for applications and infrastructure to ensure stability and reliability.
- Analyze and resolve application, infrastructure, data, and batch issues in partnership with technology teams.
- Support production and non-production environments for critical business systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance customer experience.
- Assist with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating activities required for launch and ongoing support.
- Define and document system architecture, requirements, and interfaces in alignment with business needs.
