The Senior Front End Engineer position is focused on developing Amazon's agent safety platform, which enhances AWS services through Automated Reasoning. This role is situated within a small, innovative team in either Seattle or New York City, working at the intersection of AI and cloud-scale distributed systems. The engineer will collaborate with top scientists and engineers to turn research breakthroughs into production services. • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
• 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodology.
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.

• Design and implement core components of the agent safety platform, including policy authoring, policy management, policy audit, and agent simulation.
• Deliver the agent safety experience in products where customers create agents today, such as Kiro and Quick.
• Develop and operate the area of agent safety.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews.
• Raise the bar on engineering practices across the team.
