Job description
As a member of the AWS Support team, you will assist enterprise companies in leveraging cloud technologies for their mission-critical applications. This role requires a technically strong operations engineer who is passionate about solving customer problems and can lead a team in tackling complex challenges. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with some of the smartest people in the industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems administration and a strong background in cloud support.
Requirements
- 6+ months of software development experience with an object-oriented language.
- 6+ months of scripting language experience.
- 6+ months of network and operating system support experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 6+ months of technical support experience.
- 3+ years of customer service experience, or 2+ years of technical support experience.
- Experience in a DevOps team or as a Systems Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and solve challenging operational issues in a complex enterprise environment.
- Support fleets of server instances interacting with multiple services across several AWS regions.
- Work directly with technical teams from AWS enterprise, customers, and partners to provide unique solutions.
- Build and maintain CloudFormation templates and scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources.
- Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use.
- Drive customer communication during critical events.
- Create tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the AWS customer community.
- Work on critical, highly complex customer incidents that span multiple AWS services.
