The Senior Constructability Engineer role at AWS involves overseeing the entire project process from site selection to operations. • 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

• Work closely with the Global Constructability team and the global Construction Management teams to ensure consistency of approach
• Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation
• Drive commissionability improvements in our designs
• Drive process improvements in the hand off from design to construction/commissioning
• Optimize the engineering input post design completion, driving consistent roles and responsibilities and accountability
• Act as the initial point of escalation for complex constructability issues
• Travel regionally up to 25%, sometimes unplanned
