The role is for a Senior Solutions Architect focused on pre-sales activities within the Retail and CPG sectors. The individual will work closely with Account Executives to define and implement technical strategies for major accounts, driving the adoption of Databricks' products. This position requires a strong technical background in big data and data science, as well as experience in value selling and account management. The architect will also mentor team members and build a network of technical champions within client organizations.

• 8+ years of experience working with large enterprises in the Retail and CPG space.
• 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activities.
• Strong technical knowledge in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
• Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data.
• 4+ years of design and implementation experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.

• Serve as the main technical voice for 1-5 clients.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy within accounts.
• Build a movement of technical champions within client organizations.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members.
