Job description
The Principal Software Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on developing the C# compiler and enhancing developer tools used globally. This role involves guiding engineers in creating AI-assisted coding experiences and improving developer productivity. The manager will collaborate with various teams across Microsoft to establish technical direction and foster an inclusive team culture. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C#, Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- 2+ years of people management experience, including experience developing and growing software engineers.
- Significant experience designing, building, testing, and operating complex commercial software systems.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial experience developing and testing commercial software in C#.

- Establish clear priorities and engineering direction for the team in partnership with product management and design.
- Provide leadership for complex areas of the C# compiler and developer tools ecosystem.
