The Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on Evaluation & Insights within the Human-Centered AI team at Apple Media Services. • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in ML Engineering or Applied Research.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern deep learning ecosystems such as PyTorch, JAX, and Hugging Face.
• Proven experience building scalable ML inference pipelines and model-evaluation workflows.
• Hands-on experience developing, fine-tuning, or evaluating LLMs, multimodal models, and NLP systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, or a related technical field.

• Represent the user perspective on new features and evaluate AI models.
• Architect robust evaluation frameworks and design scalable MLOps pipelines for model assessment.
• Translate qualitative failure modes into programmatic guardrails and training signals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Software Engineering, Product, Research, and Responsible AI teams.
• Interpret unstructured model outputs and synthesize qualitative findings into actionable engineering guidance.
