Job description
The Sec & Derivat Intmd Assoc Analyst is an entry-level position focused on processing orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices. This role is part of the Operations - Transaction Services team and aims to assist in the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. The analyst will serve as a primary contact for Custody clients and provide support across various transactions. The position requires collaboration with internal teams to effectively service clients and improve securities processing.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for Custody clients, providing support across the settlements of securities and cash transactions
- Provide guidance to clients on the life-cycle of Events on multiple products, including Equity and Fixed Income products
- Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards
- Partner with internal teams across the business to effectively service Custody clients
- Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables
- Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management
- Support implementation of securities processing improvements
- Develop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standards
- Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required
- Identify and manage risk to the business, with timely action and prompt escalation
