Job description
The Senior System Software Engineer for Hypervisor and RTOS at NVIDIA will play a crucial role in the development of software for autonomous vehicles. This position is part of the Hypervisor and RTOS Team, which focuses on ensuring real-time, safety, and security requirements in automotive systems. The engineer will work on designing and optimizing software stacks for NVIDIA Tegra SoCs while utilizing best engineering practices. The role also involves leading technical initiatives and collaborating across teams to enhance system-level components.
Requirements
- BS, MS in CS/CE/EE or a related engineering field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong technical leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Strong systems programming experience in C/C++ and embedded software development
- Deep understanding of RTOS concepts, operating-system internals, and hardware-assisted virtualization
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for RTOS and hypervisor software stack
- Bring up and optimize RTOS and hypervisor stacks on new NVIDIA Tegra SoCs
- Develop high-integrity software using best-in-class engineering, safety, and security practices
- Debug complex system-level issues across hardware, firmware, RTOS, and virtualization layers
- Lead team-wide technical initiatives by building alignment, coordinating execution, and driving them to completion
