Job description
As a Senior Software Engineer on NVIDIA's NIM team, you will play a crucial role in building a model customization and deployment lifecycle platform from the ground up. This position offers the opportunity to define a new product surface that will be utilized by ISVs and CSPs globally. Your work will focus on empowering customers to seamlessly manage models through various stages, including fine-tuning and deployment. You will be part of a diverse and innovative environment, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in AI technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in utilizing model customization tools such as LoRA, QLoRA, supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, preference optimization, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- 7+ years of experience with LLM serving infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of model quantization and fine-tuning workflows.
- Demonstrated history of developing robust platform APIs.
- Strong collaborative skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Compose and build the fine-tuning handoff pipeline, including LoRA adapter repackaging, re-quantization, and re-validation into NIM.
- Develop the evaluation harness, ensuring models meet high standards.
- Implement the observability and attestation layer to produce auditable compliance artifacts.
- Work in close partnership with ISVs and CSPs to roll out NVIDIA NIMs on a large scale.
- Define and improve durable platform APIs, steering clear of one-off integrations.
- Ensure flawless completion of projects through strict attention to detail and proven methodologies.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
