The Design Administrator (DA) role at Intel focuses on supporting engineering infrastructure and design environments for technology development. You will work closely with engineering teams to enhance productivity through automation and workflow improvements. This position requires a blend of software development, DevOps, and EDA tool administration skills. Your contributions will streamline processes and improve the overall user experience for engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and IC Validator.
- 2+ years of experience in software development and scripting using Python, Shell, TCL, Perl, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with GitHub, Git, version control systems, and collaborative software development workflows.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support engineering design environments used for layout, verification, and technology development activities.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions, scripts, and utilities to improve engineering productivity and reduce manual effort.
- Deploy, configure, and support EDA tools and environments.
- Manage and support GitHub repositories and version control systems.
- Develop and maintain DevOps and CI/CD solutions for automating engineering processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to EDA tools and engineering environments.
- Partner with engineering teams to gather requirements and drive continuous workflow improvements.
- Support engineering database management and access control processes.
- Evaluate and deploy AI-enabled solutions to improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
