The Electrical Safety Integration Engineer at Rivian is responsible for leading the development and integration of safety systems to ensure high levels of vehicle safety. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Vehicle Safety Engineering and Homologation, to define crash reaction strategies and electrical safety requirements. The engineer will work closely with multiple departments to validate subsystem performance through simulations and physical testing. The position requires strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement in electrical safety performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in automotive safety, vehicle testing, or system integration.
• Ability to travel to vehicle and component launch locations.
• Strong working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive safety evaluations.
• Proven project management experience with expertise in tracking milestones and managing risks.

• Lead the development and execution of electrical safety strategies.
• Define, develop, and execute testing strategies for both HV and LV electrical systems.
• Analyze electrical system designs to ensure compliance with crash safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Structural Safety, Packaging, and Software teams for comprehensive safety strategies.
• Take ownership of the crash testing and validation process for electrical safety.
