Job description
The System Analytics & Intelligence (SAIL) team at Core OS is seeking a software engineer to build systems that transform workflow data into strategic insights. This role focuses on developing data pipelines, services, and APIs that enhance the developer experience and support organizational decision-making. The engineer will be responsible for the backend and data infrastructure behind SAIL's analytics products. Candidates should have a passion for working with data at scale and a commitment to building reliable and maintainable systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building production software systems, including backend services and APIs, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with demonstrated ability in system design and architecture.
- Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines with strong SQL skills.
- Experience with CI/CD and production deployment practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or S3.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or Spark and transformation frameworks such as dbt.
- Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript or modern frontend frameworks.
- Background in developer productivity, CI/CD systems, or software development workflow domains.
- Experience with BI/visualization platforms such as Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale data pipelines for analytics products.
- Develop services and APIs to make data outputs accessible across the organization.
- Ensure reliable and scalable ingestion and transformation of data.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Core OS to deliver impactful solutions.
- Maintain a focus on correctness, reliability, and maintainability in system design.
