The DRM Software Engineer role within the Apple Services Engineering Commerce group focuses on developing and implementing DRM and security solutions for Apple media products. This team is responsible for protecting user experiences across platforms like Apple TV, Apple Music, and more. Engineers will work with cutting-edge DRM technologies and endpoint security systems to ensure the integrity of the ecosystem. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software development
- Interest in DRM technologies such as FairPlay, PlayReady, or Widevine
- Interest in endpoint security and authentication protocols
- Strong programming skills, primarily in Java
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Drive projects from inception to production deployment with a focus on performance
- Measure, profile, and tune systems for optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to develop new initiatives and maintain existing systems
- Question assumptions and navigate ambiguity in project development
- Communicate effectively and present ideas clearly to the team
