The Engineering Manager, Proactive Security at DoorDash will lead the technical direction for platform hardening across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. This role is part of a collaborative global Security Engineering team focused on building robust security controls for cloud infrastructure. The position emphasizes the importance of operational excellence and continuous improvement in security practices. This is a remote position based in the US or Canada, reporting directly to the Director of Security Engineering.

• 12+ years of experience as a Security or Infrastructure Platform Engineer at an internet-scale organization.
• 3+ years of demonstrated technical leadership leading teams building outcomes at global scale.
• Deep hands-on expertise hardening AWS and/or GCP at scale.
• Demonstrated technical leadership operating access and secrets infrastructure such as Teleport or HashiCorp Vault.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Exceptional problem solving of complex, systemic infrastructure issues.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Set and execute the technical vision for the Security Engineering Platform team.
• Influence and drive improvements to engineering standards and productivity.
• Own the hardening roadmap for tier-0 cloud infrastructure and access services.
• Coach and mentor tech leads and engineers as a 'player-coach'.
• Partner cross-functionally with other engineering teams to harden shared cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain high Operational Excellence practices for tier-0 security platforms.
• Drive continuous hardening of AWS and GCP environments.
• Influence the secure and responsible adoption of AI tooling from a platform hardening perspective.
