Job description

The Vice President of Systems Engineering at Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas, is responsible for overseeing the design and build-out of the firm's computer and data network infrastructure. This role involves applying expertise across various Network Engineering domains and ensuring the seamless operation of the firm's applications through automated networking processes. The position requires managing network risk and cost while improving network stability and performance. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field and three years of experience in a Systems Engineering role, or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields and five years of experience.
  • Experience in full network Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) including requirements gathering, design, prioritization, testing, integration, and support.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and experience using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment techniques.
  • Experience building and managing Zero Trust networks and enforcing user identity verification.
  • Experience as a technical Subject Matter Expert and technical lead in bespoke user services networking solutions.
  • Skilled in designing, securing, and managing scalable business-to-business and perimeter-internet network architectures.
  • Experience leading and managing Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and build-out of the firm's computer and data network infrastructure.
  • Manage the identification, analysis, and resolution of network infrastructure issues.
  • Track and manage network connectivity health to ensure service reliability and performance.
  • Improve network stability and performance by automating failures using network management tools.
  • Manage production incidents and communicate with users, application owners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop sustainable systems and services through automation and performance tuning.
  • Manage network connectivity business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
