The Forward Deployed Engineering Manager (FDE Manager) leads a team of engineers embedded within strategic enterprise customers, focusing on delivery execution, engineering quality, and team development. This role involves managing 5–15 engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of production AI systems that align with customer expectations. The FDE Manager also plays a crucial role in technical direction, operational excellence, and team development, while promoting AI adoption within customer engagements. The position requires a balance between technical oversight and people management, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative team culture.

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related field
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
• Experience with agentic and spec-driven development, with a focus on developing AI agents
• Experience building or deploying AI/ML applications in production environments at scale
• Experience managing teams in customer-facing or consulting-adjacent engineering roles
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go
• 3+ years of leadership development and talent management experience

• Lead FDE pod delivery and own delivery across one or more customer engagements.
• Provide technical oversight for customer AI programs and review architecture decisions.
• Ensure operational standards and production readiness criteria are met for AI systems.
• Hire, develop, and retain FDE talent while coaching junior FDEs toward independence.
• Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption within customer engagements.
