This role involves designing, crafting, and deploying reliable embedded software for consumer electronic products as part of the Amazon Leo CT SW Team. The team focuses on supporting devices that connect customers to the Kuiper network, working collaboratively with hardware, product, and operations teams. The mission is to deliver fast and affordable broadband to underserved communities through innovative technology. The position requires flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Amazon Leo system
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and code/test coverage
• Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust, or other languages
• Apply real-time embedded software philosophies and practices
• Demonstrate expertise with Linux and RTOS
• Review schematics, logic analyzer, and troubleshoot embedded software
