The Xcode team is seeking a creative and self-motivated individual to enhance and maintain testing tools for Apple's software development platforms. This role involves collaborating with feature teams to extend automated testing coverage and ensure high-quality releases of Xcode and Instruments. The candidate will engage with various teams, including compiler and OS teams, to address issues that span multiple domains. The position offers the opportunity to develop shared APIs for testing and create effective testing strategies.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong object-oriented programming experience in Swift and/or Python or other scripting experience
• Demonstrated experience writing and executing detailed test plans for complex software systems
• Proven ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly document software defects
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience with UI framework testing, debugging, bug hunting, and regression identification
• Experience with macOS/iOS platform frameworks such as AppKit, UIKit, SwiftUI, XCTest, or LLDB
• Demonstrated use of LLMs or AI tooling to improve quality, failure triage, or automation workflows
• Track record of shipping test automation frameworks at scale
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-team quality initiatives
