Job description

This role involves developing advanced robotics systems to enhance automation at Amazon's scale. The team focuses on creating innovative robotic solutions that work safely alongside humans in dynamic environments. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of robotics and automation through collaboration with world-class engineers. Candidates will engage in troubleshooting, design improvements, and the development of deployment processes for robotic systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience deploying or managing large fleets of complex electro-mechanical devices
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams, influencing product and functional requirements
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in hardware design
  • Experience with retrofits, launches, or automation deployments, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop deployment processes, service procedures, and field maintenance workflows to support a fleet of deployed robots.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and ground support equipment that enable safe, repeatable installation, servicing, and repair of mechatronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software failures in the field during deployment campaigns and operational incidents.
  • Influence hardware and software engineering teams to incorporate serviceability, diagnosability, and deployment-readiness features into product design.
  • Execute and interpret CLI-based diagnostics, parse system logs, and leverage software tooling to verify robot health.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineers to translate field learnings into design improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to scale deployment knowledge across sites and teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
