Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing Technology team responsible for delivering complex software applications that support business-critical systems. The role involves end-to-end application development, from system architecture to deployment and ongoing support. The developer will mentor peers, influence technical standards, and collaborate with various teams to create secure and scalable solutions. • 5 or more years of hands-on experience in software application development or systems design.
• Deep expertise in backend development using Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, and Hibernate.
• Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL for database development.
• Demonstrated ability to produce software design artefacts including architecture documentation and flowcharts.
• Practical experience managing projects using Agile methodologies and JIRA.
• Subject matter expertise in at least one area of software application development.
• Strong proficiency in source control practices using Git.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

• Design and develop scalable software applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot Microservices, and Hibernate.
• Build and maintain full-stack solutions by developing frontend interfaces with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Lead system analysis and architecture activities, producing design artefacts to guide development decisions.
• Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle, from feasibility assessment to post-go-live support.
• Embed security best practices into application design and conduct post-implementation analysis.
• Drive quality across the codebase by implementing and maintaining automated test coverage.
• Act as a technical authority for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, sharing technical knowledge.
