Job description
As a Systems Engineer in the Relay Product & Tech team, you will develop and maintain automation solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and sustainability in Amazon's middle mile network. This role focuses on integrating generative AI and automation into workflows to improve efficiency and productivity. You will work in a dynamic environment, addressing complex challenges related to risk management and regulatory compliance. The team is global, with a commitment to protecting customers, carriers, drivers, and Amazon.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Excel or Tableau, including data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
- 2+ years of experience writing complex Excel VBA macros.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
- Experience with SQL or ETL.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages.
- 2+ years of software development or 1+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems or experience in development or technical support.
- Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience using generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of automation workflows, including design, development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Possess strong expertise in generative AI and agentic systems, integrating these technologies into daily workflows.
- Leverage AI knowledge to enhance workflow designs and improve investigator productivity through AI-driven solutions.
- Develop deep expertise as a subject matter expert in specific focus areas, serving as the technical point of contact for your team.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical systems across distributed environments, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
- Build and maintain automation that simplifies workloads at scale, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
- Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks for automation workflows.
- Partner with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to identify automation opportunities and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor system health, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure reliability and performance of automation systems.
